What kind of products do you sell?

We sell artisanal, Premium Grade Japanese teaware -  handcrafted unique pieces including teapots, cups, and tea sets sourced directly from well known and respected artists in Japan. Each piece is selected for its craftsmanship, authenticity, and beauty.

What makes your teaware different from mass produced alternatives?

Each piece is handmade with meticulous detail by artists and kilns from multigenerational lineages, families who have dedicated generations to perfecting their craft. Unlike mass produced teaware, no two pieces are identical. Our teaware is functional art — objects that honor Japanese tradition while elevating your daily tea ritual. You're not buying a product off an assembly line, you're acquiring a piece of living Japanese craft that carries the mark of the hands that made it.

Are your products authentic Japanese made?

Yes. Every piece we carry is authentically made in Japan by skilled artisans and traditional kilns. We source directly from Japan to ensure the provenance and authenticity of every item in our collection.

What materials are the teapots and cups made from?

Our teaware is made from the earth, clay with unique characteristics depending on the region it was produced. We carry pieces from celebrated Japanese pottery traditions including Bizen-yaki, Banko-yaki, and Tokoname-yaki, each with its own distinct clay composition, mineral content, firing technique, and aesthetic character. The material is inseparable from the art, where the clay comes from is part of the story of every piece.

Will my teaware change over time?

Yes,  and this is one of the most beautiful aspects of authentic Japanese clay teaware. Pieces from traditions like Bizen-yaki and Tokoname-yaki are known to develop character with use. As the clay absorbs tea oils over time, it deepens in color and atmosphere, a natural seasoning process that makes each piece increasingly unique to its owner. Your teaware is not static. It grows with you.

How do I care for my teaware?

Please refer to our dedicated Care Guide for detailed instructions on how to clean, season, and maintain your teaware. Proper care ensures your piece lasts a lifetime and develops its own unique character over time.
